Dump truck rollover spread debris across Route 8 in Shelton – CT Post

State police confirmed around 8:30 that troopers from the Troop I barracks were on scene near Exit 13 in Shelton, Conn., on Friday, Nov. 19, 2021, for a dump truck rollover. The right and center lanes are expected to be closed for several hours for cleanup.

SHELTON — A dump truck rollover crash on Route 8 through Shelton closed lanes and backed up traffic on Route 8 in Shelton for hours Friday morning.

The state Department of Transportation reported the crash around 8 a.m. on Route 8 north between exits 12 and 13. The DOT said the right and center lanes of the highway were shut down until around 12:30 p.m.

State police confirmed around 8:30 a.m. that troopers from its Troop I barracks were on scene near Exit 13 for a dump truck rollover with debris across the road. The left lane remained open to vehicles driving through the area.

The highway reopened to traffic around 12:30 p.m.


There was no immediate word on possible injuries.
